The 2018 Florida Chief Financial Officer election will take place on November 6, 2018. Incumbent Republican Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a third consecutive term.
Atwater has been named vice president of strategic initiatives and chief financial officer of Florida Atlantic University and will be resigning effective June 30, 2017. Public Service Commissioner and former State Representative Jimmy Patronis has been appointed to serve the remainder of the term. Patronis will run for election to a full term in 2018.
